The following specifications should be used in the preparation of color separations, film and color proofs.
These minimum specifications have been developed to insure the optimum reproduction of all supplied film.
4/color
Negatives, Right Reading Emulsion Down, 133-150 line screen film with a shadow density not to exceed 290%. Color
rotation is black, cyan, magenta, yellow. Register marks and color should be indicated on each negative. Match-print
proof must be supplied.
2/color and 3/color
Negatives, Right Reading Emulsion Down, 133-150 line screen film with a shadow density not to exceed 160%. Register
marks and color should be indicated on each negative. A color proof must be supplied. Process match to PMS colors
available. Advertisers will be charged accordingly. Please consult Publisher.
Black and white
Negatives, 133 line screen, Right Reading Emulsion Down. Register marks should be indicated on negative. A proof
must be supplied.
FILM
Type
Right Reading Emulsion Down Negatives. Film supplied is to be free from dust, broken type, or other imperfections.
Line Screen
133-150 line screen
Bleed Specifications
Image area not intended to trim must be 5/8" from bleeds. Material intended to bleed must be furnished with
a minimum of 1/8" image area beyond trim. On anything less than 1/8" bleed, Publisher cannot guarantee consistent
bleed.
Return of Materials
Artwork and photos will be returned on request only. Publisher assumes no responsibility for artwork uncalled
for in six months after date of publication, when they will be discarded.
