Tiger Oak Publications (www.tigeroak.com) is a multi-dimensional media firm, delivering content to targeted audiences through glossy magazines (including Seattle Magazine, Minnesota Business Magazine, and many others) as well as through branded websites, apps, social media and high-profile events. We’re currently hiring for a full-time Digital Marketing Associate in our Seattle and Minneapolis offices, respectively, to optimize Tiger Oak's online content and promote it through paid and unpaid marketing channels, as well as other responsibilities.

The DMA should display solid knowledge of the major social networks (such as Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Google+, and Reddit), online marketing services (e.g. Outbrain, Google Adwords, boosted Facebook posts) and common SEO best practices.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Overall:

  • Work with advertisers, ad sales teams, and digital editors to edit and optimize sponsored content
  • Create, execute and optimize online marketing campaigns for sponsored content
  • Create and execute sponsored social media campaigns
  • Regularly analyze and report on results of social media and online marketing campaigns
  • Upload and format the monthly print content on Seattle BusinessMag.com and MinnesotaBusiness.com, respectively, and promote via social media
  • Live-tweet Tiger Oak and non-Tiger Oak events monthly

Seattle only:

  • Serve as the company’s social media expert/consultant (continually updating and disseminating Best Practices as the social network involve, training interns on social media, consulting with ad sales teams etc.)

Minneapolis only:

  • Handle the online components of Minneapolis-based Tiger Oak events (regularly create pages and web forms, and promote them on social media)

To accomplish this, the DMA will work closely with Tiger Oak’s Ad Sales Reps, Digital Editors, and Online Advertising Operations teams to:

  • Design and manage a variety of paid and unpaid promotional campaigns for Tiger Oak websites, from conception to creative to execution to analytics
  • Improve strategy and effectiveness of these campaigns
  • Analyze our paid and unpaid campaigns and profiles, and test and optimize for greater conversions and reach
  • Define best practices and procedures for posting “sponsored” social media content from our advertisers

REQUIREMENTS
DMA candidates should be independent, self-starting and thorough, with great attention to detail, ability to juggle multiple projects, and a goal-oriented approach.

  • 2-4+ years of experience managing social media and/or digital marketing campaigns (preferably both)
  • Proven track record of launching successful multi-channel campaigns (social, online, offline events)
  • Strong project management, strategic planning and writing skills
  • Experience with and knowledge of SEO best practices
  • Able to communicate clearly and present conceptual creative/technical strategies, trends and metrics
  • Able to multi-task, collaborate, and work autonomously, with a great attention to detail
  • Experience with reporting on web analytics and optimizing behavior based on analytics
  • Experience with Drupal or a similar CMS. Basic knowledge of HTML and Photoshop (or similar photo editing tool) a plus.
  • Location in the greater Seattle or Minneapolis areas required
