SEATTLE BUSINESS ANNOUNCES WINNERS OF 2012 WASHINGTON MANUFACTURING AWARDS

SEATTLE (April 27, 2012) – Seattle Business magazine honored 20 of Washington state’s top manufacturers at the third annual Washington Manufacturing Awards on April 26, 2012, at the Westin Hotel in Seattle. More than 250 members of the state’s manufacturing community attended the event, which featured a keynote speech by Washington Attorney General and 2012 gubernatorial candidate Rob McKenna.

“Seattle Business is honored to recognize the Washington manufacturing sector,” said Leslie Helm, editor of Seattle Business. “Our state is a leader in so many different areas of economic development, with a broad and diverse range of manufacturers always providing a foundation of stability, innovation and excellence.”

Food Producer of the Year, Large Company: Trans-Ocean Products, Bellingham

Manufacturer of the Year, Small Company: Sage Manufacturing Corporation, Bainbridge Island

Manufacturer of the Year, Midsize Company (tie): MacKay Manufacturing, Spokane

Manufacturer of the Year, Midsize Company (tie): Watson Furniture Group, Poulsbo

Manufacturer of the Year, Large Company: nLight Corporation, Vancouver

Manufacturing Executive of the Year, Midsize Company: Craig Dias, Haskins Steel Company, Spokane

Manufacturing Executive of the Year, Large Company: Randy Gardiner, Red Dot Corporation, Tukwila
